From zombie outbreak to platformers, Ubisoft will make sure there are a variety of games available when the Nintendo Wii U launches.
The French publisher/developer of games has a history of releasing new games next to the launch of a console; such as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars for the Nintendo 3DS. Not wanting to lag behind on the launch of Nintendo's new console, the Wii U, Ubisoft will be lining up some old and new games for the console this November.
The first game from Ubisoft might not be an exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U, but Rayman Legends is praised well by game reviewers. A new mechanic introduced in the game lets the player with the Wii U GamePad (the tablet controller) to pull objects, turn others and shield players as they move through the level. No word on what other gameplay mechanics will differentiate this Rayman Legends game from a previous release, but this one will emphasize communication with players using the regular controllers along with platforming challenges.
Ubisoft's next game that is an exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U is…A zombie first person shooter survival game. Moving along, the ZombiU game will feature a "Survival Mode" where each player only has one life and no respawn. Players can use the Wii U GamePad to customize their weapons via a crafting system, or leave messages on walls with a spray can. ZombiU will also transform dead player avatars into zombies, which could hunt down the still living players in the current game session.
Both titles will be available this November 30th, 2012 for the Wii U. Ubisoft has announced that a limited edition of ZombiU will be launched, called "Wii U ZombiU Premium Pack". This version of the black console will include the game ZombiU and a black Wii U Pro Controller.
