Good news to all you shoppers out there. Nintendo is looking to help you keep your loved ones entertained and get them pumped up for the upcoming holiday season. Starting on Nevember 4 shoppers in the United States will be able to choose from two brand new Wii bundles. Each bundle will contain a Wii console and one of two new games Nintendo’s third-party partners. One bundle will include Ubisoft’s Just Dance 4 with a white Wii console and matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers, offered for a limited time at a suggested retail price of $129.99. The second bundle will include Activision’s Skylanders Giants, along with a blue Wii console and matching Wii remote Plus and Nunchuck controllers, one Portal of Power, two Skylanders characters and one exclusive Giant Skylander, all available for a limited time at a suggested retail price of $149.99.
“These bundles give consumers a way to enjoy some of the hottest new games for this generation’s most popular console at an attractive price,” said Nintendo of America’s vice president of Licensing Steve Singer. “Together with our third-party publishing partners, we’re delivering maximum value for families who want to get the most for their home entertainment dollar.”
Selling more than 13 million copies of the Wii alone, the Just Dance franchise has become the top third-party Wii franchise of all time and one of the world’s top-selling franchises of the consoles entire generation. Just Dance 4 adds all new features, game modes, songs and dance moves. Dancers can party hard to more than 40 tracks across a huge selection of musical genres, including pop, hip-hop, rock, country, funk and more. Each song can be played by up to four players, and the brand new Battle modes lets players challenge each other in six rounds of high energy dance-offs.
The Skylanders combination of gaming and physical toys took the world by surprise in 2011. The new Skylanders Giants introduces Giant Skylanders characters with powers to match their incredible size. When the action figures are placed on the Portal of Power, they are brought to life in the game where players must unleash their strength and battle to save the Skylands.
