Nintendo’s closing up shop for their Wii Fit U trial in a few short days!
The Wii Fit games have always interested me in that on paper, its one of the worst game ideas ever, paying Nintendo for a piece of software that will show you your weight, demonstrate exercises and call you fat when you can get all of those things (scale, fitness book and school-yard bullies) for less than half the price. Yet somehow through inspired mini-games using the balance board, endearing patronising spoken encouragement and a little bit of Nintendo flair, it became a must-have for the Wii. Needless to say, it was only a matter of time before the title was enhanced for the Wii U as the launch line on that thing is starting to stagnate a bit but Nintendo surprised by releasing a free trial of the game for all Wii U owners which brings me to the topic of this article, the free trial is expiring on the 31st of this month so If you haven’t got it yet, you had best hurry up!
Not to say that all copies of the game will spontaneously combust upon the eve of the 31st, as long as you claim the trial before the deadline, you’ll have a whole month to burn off that doughy physique for no charge! Of course I cannot forget to mention the new accessory the fit meter. Remember the Poke-walker from Pokemon heart-gold & soul-silver? Well, the pedometer peripheral strikes again with the fit meter which can record the amount of calories burnt as well as steps taken.
Now, if you enjoy the trial or want to prepare for a foreseeable ice cream binge then you can pick up a bundle of the game with the balance board and fit meter for $89.99, a bundle with just the fit meter for $49.99 or just the game for $29.99.
