Wikipad Tablet Will Feature Sony Playstation Certified Support

Wikipad is a new Android tablet coming from Wikipad Inc. What will make it special from other tablets hitting the market right now?
It will actually offer an attachable console-quality gamepad controller that easily attaches and detaches using a special connector, making the tablet perfect for gaming on the go.

The Wikipad will run off Android 4.1 Jellybean, have a huge 10.1 inch IPS display running at a resolution of 1280×800, be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 T30 1.4GHz processor and supported by 1GB of DDR2 RAM, meaning it will be extremely quick.
As a comparison, the new Google Nexus 7 tablet features the T30L offering a 1.2GHz clockspeed and slower RAM to boot. It is slightly slower however than the to be released Ouya which will come with the 1.6GHz variant, and possibility of faster RAM support.

16GB of storage will be the minimum the Wikipad will launch with, and will also have an 8MP rear facing camera, and may even at some point launch with a 3D capable display.

The attachment controller features a wide selection of buttons; two triggers, bumpers, analog sticks, a digital pad, 4 standard buttons, and start and select buttons – enough for even the most dedicated handheld gamer.

As for battery life, it will be powered by a 23.46Wh battery allowing for around 6 hours of continuous gaming or 8 hours of video playback.

Some thrilling news was announced today to add to the anticipation of the device, with Wikipad announcing that the Wikipad passed the Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) Playstation Certified licence program.

This means, the tablet will feature Playstation Mobile games, developed by award-winning SCE Worldwide Studios as well as a large array of third party developers and publishers.
Crash Bandicoot anyone?!
