2K Games and Firaxis Games announced today that the Slingshot Content Pack DLC for XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now available to purchase for Windows PC, Xbox360, and PlayStation 3. The new content will set you back $6.99 USD/ 560 Microsoft Points. Here’s what 2K and Firaxis Games had to say about the new content:
“With the Slingshot Content Pack, players will meet an enigmatic Triad operative, divert an alien ship’s course, and do battle with the aliens in the skies over China in a new set of linked Council missions. The Slingshot Content Pack includes three new maps tied to the Council missions, a new playable squad character with a unique story and voice, and new character customization options.”
XCOM: Enemy Unknown was definitely the sleeper hit of 2012, and received critical acclaim from most reviewers. The game is a mixture of deep strategy and intense tactical combat. Players will oversee combat strategies and individual unit tactics, as well as base management and resource allocation while playing as the commander of the secret global military organization, XCOM. Tasked with defending the human race from a terrifying global alien invasion, XCOM is the last hope for humanity.
