November will see the launch of a Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Luigi themed Nintendo 3DS XL consoles!
Nintendo fans rejoice! Nintendo have announced the launch of two themed Nintendo 3DS XL consoles. One will be inspired by the new Legend of Zelda game, the other by Mario’s favourite sibling Luigi. What better way to celebrate the release of a Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds than to play it on a uniquely designed Nintendo 3DS XL. And what better way to celebrate the rise of Luigi than getting a Nintendo 3DS XL coloured just like the man himself. Both launch this November in Europe.
The Luigi themed Nintendo 3DS XL launches 1st November exclusively at store.nintendo.co.uk. The console base is white and the shell is coloured two shades of green, just like Luigi’s clothing! Luigi has risen out of Mario’s shadow in 2013, with the release of Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros on the 3DS, and New Super Luigi U on the WII U. Luigi and Mario also celebrated their 30th anniversary this year since Mario Bros first came into our lives!
The Zelda themed Nintendo 3DS XL launches the same day as Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds on 22nd November. Buying the console will include a code to download the game from the Nintendo Eshop to play immediately. The top shell of the console if gold coloured and the bottom of it is black. This is decorated with a triforce logo each side which when the console is opened, the double triforce logo is formed!
A Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds follows on from the 1992 SNES classic A Link to the Past. Players enjoy a brand new adventure in the realm of Hyrule. The new feature is that Link can now become a drawing to move along walls, giving a new way to tackle the puzzles found in the game. You can now tackle dungeons in an order you see fit unlike previous games where certain items were required before you could complete sections of certain puzzles. this is due to items being available to link at all times thank to a new character called Ravio’s shop, who lets Link rent or buy items to take to tackle the dungeons how he sees fit.
When buying the boxed version of Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the front cover will be reversible. So if you don’t fancy the new decor on the front of the box, flip it over to reveal the original A Link to the Past artwork in all its glory!
