League of Legends Review
League of Legends Community Page League of Legends is a free to play MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) from Riot Games, it is a free to play game for the PC and Mac. League of Legends inspired by the mod Defense of the Ancients for the game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. League of Legends was first released on the 27th of October 2009 and since then has grown in popularity to an average of over twelve million players. Of all the MOBAs this is probably the most polished one I have played. My main problem with this game is the vocal part of the community, this is not me stereotyping the whole community but when I played the game around ninety percent of them were incredibly rude towards other players in the game, incredibly competitive and rude. Remember that this is just the very vocal part of the community and not everyone playing behaved in such manor. People I know whom play MOBAs are in general agreement that League of Legends is the most polished, not necessarily favourite but the most polished. This is to do with the fact that it has had years to create content and fix bugs. The game has pretty much no bugs and a huge amount of content if you enjoy MOBAs so if you want to play or get into a MOBA then you should pick up this game or maybe DOTA 2. Level of Freeness Apart from champions you don’t need to pay for anything. From what I have played you will only buy a new champion if you really like a champion and only want to play him but I quite like to play a bit of everything so I will never bother to buy one. Gameplay Players form into two teams of five. The game starts with each team at their Nexus and the goal is to destroy the enemy Nexus but to do that you need to destroy their turrets. The way you destroy turrets is by “pushing lanes” which means moving up lanes killing minions (continuously spawning NPCs who are weak) and other players so you can level up and get gold so you can become strong enough to kill the other players, turrets and eventually the enemies Nexus. The games combat is the normal MOBA affair I think that if you like MOBAs then you will like this and if you don’t then it won’t change your mind on the genre. Lifespan The game will last up to when you get bored of it as there isn't a definitive end. I didn't play it for that long before I got bored. It held my attention for around four to five hours all together but I know people who have played for tens of hours. Presentation I think the game looks good enough to at minimum not be distracting and at best be good looking. I would say it looks average nothing special. I am giving this game a reasonably high score compared to how much played it because I see how people will and can like it. It is a very good MOBA by far the best and if you ever want to play MOBA take this one.

Gameplay

Players form into two teams of five. The game starts with each team at their Nexus and the goal is to destroy the enemy Nexus but to do that you need to destroy their turrets. Presentation

I think the game looks good enough to at minimum not be distracting and at best be good looking. I would say it looks average nothing special. Lots of care does go into each champion (at least most, there is one or two I think are phones in) and it seems like the art team have fun. Each champion is unique with a cool look individual idea based around their looks and powers.

Story/Creativity

I can’t think of a story and I can’t think of anything particularly creative apart from the champions. The champions are reasonably creative and are unique enough that every Champion has a different strategy (not super different).
