Great!
Overall LOD: Tactics is a good game and is worth the download if you have the time.
Line of Defense Tactics Community Page
Line Of Defense Tactics reminds me a lot of X-COM: Enemy Unknown. The gameplay is very similar with a focus of real time tactics and strategic gameplay. It definitely lacks some of the depth that X-COM has, but this can mostly be forgiven as it is a mobile game after all.
The average level has you leading your squad of super soldiers through a series of sci-fi style corridors fighting off enemies as you do so. The controls are quite simple, you touch the screen and drag to command units. This works quite well but it can be a bit difficult at times trying to give an accurate direction to your troops. Overall the game is very substantial and fun, although it’s a bit simplistic and a little hard to control at times, I had a good time.
LOD: Tactics has a pretty standard in-game currency system. There are the in-game points CEP, which can be bought with real money or small amounts can be earned in-game. This is a tried and true system that works just as well as other similar systems, You can use these points to fine tune your squad members and this isn’t necessary to do well in the game which is good. Overall the in-game purchases in LOD: Tactics is up to par with the other free mobile games on the market.
LOD: Tactics has a good lifespan. There are 14 challenging levels in the game at the moment which will tide you over for a good while. And on top of this there is a skirmish mode which involves you defending a bas from waves of enemies. This mode is a great mode to play in-between missions and is quite fun. LOD: Tactics has a very nice lifespan, especially compared to many other mobile games available, however it lacks the endless replay ability once you have finished the aforementioned 14 levels..
Overall LOD: Tactics is a good game and is worth the download if you have the time.
LOD: Tactics is available on iOS and Android for free.
