Scarlet Blade Review

Scarlet blade is a free to play MMORPG based around players going up against mysterious invaders threatening to eliminate mankind. I should probably actually call womankind considering the entire cast of characters and players are females here are links to articles about women in games as the art style may be offensive but might not, I honestly don’t know: Level of Freenes The free to play system seems to play rather good not amazing but rather good there is still limitations but overall it isn’t insulting. Although because of one thing you can buy which is the most shamelessly over sexualised item in any game I have ever seen and this includes Leisure Suit Larry. Gameplay There are different classes that fall under different categories. Defender is clearly a defence character. Shadow Walker and Whipper are melee DPS. The Punisher and Sentinel are ranged DPS. Medic falls under healing and support. The Whipper has the most niche role but it is still basically melee DPS. Quests take the form go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward (skip to the bold text if you are in a rush) then go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward then go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward then go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward then go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward then go to A kill B or collect C hand in the quest collect the reward then level up. This is to show it is repetitive. See how this is quite repetitive and not very fun there is almost no changes in the quest formula go to A kill B or collect C okay you get the idea. Some of the most interesting things large scale PvP and a mech suit transformation. The combat is just dull though. Life Span The quests are repetitive which greatly affects the life span but it will keep some people who don’t mind grind going for a while. It will have a long life span for people who like World of Warcraft or other grindy MMORPGs. Presentation The presentation is very simply put as Borderline Repulsive Enigmatic Affection Surrounding The-fair-sex, or BREAST (okay you create a better one and I know the T is a terrible one but yay hyphens). The amount of breasts in this game is ridiculous seriously; I understand making every character female but why make them all so stupidly over sexualised. It is so over the top people have started saying “Free to Play more like Fap to Play” some random YouTube guy. I am going to put in a video to demonstrate this it is just plain stupid. I think that they can fix some problems such as repetitive combat and slightly out of date graphics but the graphics aren’t necessary. The two big let downs are unfortunate as these are the ones they can’t fix i.e. the story and the presentation.

The worst thing is the fact you can buy some very weird stuff such as the ability to remove underwear.

Story/Creativity

Things attack (Narak I think) when humanity was our highest prosperity and they beat us into submission since we were kind of terrible now only the Arcana and they are our last line of defence. Now that is how much detail I could take in before I stopped paying attention out of shear boredom. I really don’t like the story I found it very bad.
