The new trailer for RAW: Realms of Ancient War shows off the cooperative mode in the action RPG.
As more games incorporate social interaction in their games, the more we'll see developers talk about how much better their game is with a buddy. Nothing wrong with that as video games are great with friends, like the upcoming Borderlands 2. Wizarbox and Focus: Home Interactive's new action RPG joins the choir in singing how RAW: Realms of Ancient War are better with friends, along with providing video to prove it.
With the launch of RAW on the consoles next week (Early next month for PC.), the new trailer will show off how the two player cooperative mode works. It seems the video focuses primarily on the person that has lost his shirt somewhere else (Warrior) and the person that can't just let go of his glowing orb (Wizard). But the video is pretty impressive with the horde of monsters that are displayed with little frame-rate issues. Most monsters look the same, such as an army of ninja-baddies chasing the duo down. But there are some unique monsters like towering trolls from Lord of the Rings, to even bigger stone titans.
RAW might be a game to look for if you want that classic loot-gathering mechanic while holding onto a gamepad. Based upon what else we know about RAW: Realms of Ancient War, the game has a similar interface like Diablo and familiar classes. The only time something like this was done on the console might be the Champions of Norrath on the PlayStation 2. No word yet on what the price for RAW is, but it should be announced soon.
RAW: Realms of Ancient War will be available on Xbox LIVE and European PlayStation Network on September 19th, and American PlayStation Network on September 25th. The PC version for RAW will be available on October 4th via Steam.
