Nintendo have announced a European release date for Scribblenauts Unlimited. The game is set for release on February 8th. Scribblenauts Unlimited is Maxwell’s first adventure in the game where writing comes to life. Scribblenauts Unlimited is set in an open world setting full of challenges for gamers to enjoy. The game will be released for the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the 3DS XL.In Scribblenauts Unlimited players will once again solve puzzles and challenges by imagining an object to tackle a variety of problems simply by writing its name.
The game also introduces gamers to the backstory of Maxwell. Players will find out about Maxwell’s parents, his twin sister Lily and how he got his magic notepad.
Where previous games in the series featured a linear level progression mechanic, Scribblenauts Unlimited promises to provide a completely open universe, split into eight worlds and 41 levels all with their own stories and objectives to explore. Players will have to visit cites to help the police catch a robber or travel to a tropical island to help a shipwrecked couple. In Scribblenauts Unlimited how you help others is only limited by your imagination, and as long as they end up happy players can progress through the game receiving Starites. Scribblenauts also includes a new Merit Board system where each world comes with a list of hints including the new Starite Vision helper to highlight all Starites and their shards.
The Wii U version of Scribblenauts Unlimited has a number of unique features which are listed below.
- Object Creation and Sharing: Gamers can make their own objects to summon in the game. Players can make a ‘part
yshark’ that flies and shoots lasers. With the new Object Editor, anything and everything can be created. Objects can be changed in colour, moved, resized and players can even in physical properties or script behaviours to change how objects interact with the Scribblenauts world. In Scribblenauts gamers can also meet the avatars of other players and downloading their created objects into their own library.
- Nintendo-Themed Bonus Content: In the game, players can discover dozens of characters and items from the Mario and The Legend of Zelda franchises which will interact with your world in hilarious and unexpected ways.
- Multiplayer Mode: The game can be played with friends who can drop in and take control of any object using a Wii Remote. Gamers can also give advice to the player conjuring up objects with the Wii U GamePad.
- HD Graphics: For the first time ever the world of Scribblenauts can be seen in high definition.
Nintendo 3DS Features
- StreetPass : Scribblenauts utilises the Nintendo 3DS system’s StreetPass functionality to see all of the creative solutions to puzzles used by other players encountered.
- 3D Cinematics: The game features gorgeous cinematic imagery rendered in amazing 3D.
Scribblenauts Unlimited is also more expansive than previous games in the series. The game has 50 Starites and 500 Starite Shards to be found, leading to over 20 hours of fun gameplay and unlimited enjoyment using the levels as a playground. Previously summoned objects can be stored in Maxwell’s magic backpack for easy access.
Scribblenauts Unlimited is set to deliver a creative adventure which will test gamers imaginations to the limit when it launches across Europe on 8th February, on Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL.
