Did you ever play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the arcades? Did you nearly weep with joy when the game came to your NES? Well prepare for the waterworks as a new instalment of the TNMT franchise makes its way to the Nintendo Wii, 3DS, and Xbox360 later this year.
Developed by Magic Pockets, TMNT remains true to the classic arcade style of TMNT games of yesteryear. Of course, the game takes advantage of modern technology allowing for easy drop-in/drop-out and four player co-op via Xbox live and Wii. What’s more, the game has a few minor RPG elements allowing players to upgrade their characters and items.
The TMNT game features a brand new story starring the pizza-loving, butt-kicking, sewer-dwelling ninja turtles. Play as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael in this side scrolling adventure that ties into the popular Nickelodeon animated series.
The franchise has a fairly extensive Facebook page which can be viewed here for more information.

I find it a little odd that there are at least three new TMNT games currently in development and even a movie! I guess our childhood heroes have made a return, kind of like The Muppets! Only time will tell which TMNT will rule them all. P.S. I got dibs on the original NES version!
